Grayville, ILPURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENTAssumes the responsibility for purchasing and coordinating the supply of assigned energy products for Wabash Valley Service Company (WVSC) and consistent with WVSC standards of service and quality.
Provides customer service in a timely and accurate manner to increase customer satisfaction and maintain the reputation and profitability of the organization.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSResponsible for the profitability of the energy department through purchasing, competitive analysis, risk management, and profitable pricing strategies for retail and commercial energy customers.
Manage the entire process in the planning and purchasing of commodities and supply chain activities, inventory control, logistics and distribution, ensuring effective processes to avoid delays and lost opportunities.
Work with marketing manager and area managers to determine product margins and develop/maintain pricing by area or location to reach or exceed company budgets.
Communicate with various locations, management, salesmen, carriers, and terminals to ensure timely delivery of commodities using the most appropriate procedures.
Determine best ordering and procurement practices and utilize technologies where available to become more efficient and provide better, timelier sales and volume tracking.
Manage and maintain up-to-date orders and position reporting for energy products utilizing Agvance or best available option.
Dispatch utilizing least-cost analysis to maximize efficiency and supply chain reliability while being objective to delivery timing.
Be responsible for introducing process improvements in the supply chain and identify new vendors/suppliers without jeopardizing quality and delivery service.
Maintain procurement files including all relevant documentation and vendor tracking system s/he will maintain all the relevant information concerning the organization's suppliers.
Manage patron contracts and maintain relationships with area managers and salesmen to ensure completeness of deliverables outlined in the contract.
This includes ensuring that all patron complaints and concerns are addressed promptly to ensure that the patron continues to always receive uninterrupted services.
Ability to work in high pressure and high stress situations.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONSSupports and contributes to total company goals and objectives through collaboration efforts.
Assists safety manager in the safety and compliance with all federal, state and local statutes for assigned employees, vehicles, and plants.
Ability to work extended hours or on call as business conditions warrant.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTSNormally requires a college degree in Business Administration or Procurement, or the equivalent thereof, and at least 2 or more years of related work experience to demonstrate knowledge of procurement.
Demonstrated essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.
Demonstrated planning, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Proven ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
Proven professional communication, persuasion, presentation, and customer service skills.
Salary:
$12.
